Next Tuesday, the 15th of this month, the doctoral seminar Affective Literacies and the Politics of Humanism: Attuning to Otherwise<\/em>, will take place, taught by Dr. Bessie P. En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, los investigadores en educaci\u00f3n han recurrido a las teor\u00edas del afecto para cuestionar la concepci\u00f3n humanista existente de la alfabetizaci\u00f3n como elemento central de la \u201cera moderna\u201d, en la que el \u00e9xito de la alfabetizaci\u00f3n se convierte en una cuesti\u00f3n de la voluntad o \u201celecci\u00f3n\u201d individual. Estas teor\u00edas buscan desbaratar la noci\u00f3n cartesiana del sujeto racional aut\u00f3nomo del humanismo occidental, cuya agencia no tiene restricciones. Humanismo aqu\u00ed no se refiere a un concepto unificado, sino, m\u00e1s bien, a un proceso violento, colonial e imperialista de exclusi\u00f3n que produce varones blancos particulares, u \u00abHombres\u00bb, como \u00abel humano\u00bb y la supremac\u00eda blanca como \u201cel mundo\u201d (Crawley, 2020; Snaza, 2019; Wynter, 2003). Este seminario explorar\u00e1 la capacidad s\u00f3nica del afecto para reforzar y desbaratar simult\u00e1neamente tales marcos humanistas excluyentes en el contexto de las aulas de alfabetizaci\u00f3n primaria. En particular, este seminario considerar\u00e1 el concepto de Ashon Crawley de other possibilities<\/em> along with Lamar Johnson's question of \"What does it mean to be human in the 21st century?\" Participants will be invited to theorize affective literacies from a place that rejects the abjection of Black people and other bodies marginalized from the category of the human, while attuned to \"otherwise\" frequencies that press on the world of Man by actively affirming conceptions non-humanists of literacies, \"literate bodies,\" and the social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
