Introduction<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to guidance in the current century, its very wide function as a useful tool must be taken into account not only to manage the transition between school, training and work, but also, and above all, as a means that has \"permanent value in the life of each person, guaranteeing their development and support in the processes of choice and decision-making with the aim of promoting active employment, economic growth and social inclusion\" (Miur, 2014, p. 2) .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guidance today is a device that works in favor of human dignity, social justice and sustainable development. This means that professionals and academics working in this field must be encouraged to focus on the front of choice, to promote visions of work that respect people's lives and to combat all those inequalities that too often impede social participation. An orientation, therefore, as a tool for help, support and advice, for the affirmation of sustainable development and justice (Soresi & Nota, 2020).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seen from this perspective, guidance can be considered a tool to achieve some of the goals of the 2030 Agenda (United Nations, 2015): End all forms of poverty in the world (Goal 1), Ensure health and well-being for for all and for all ages (Goal 3), Provide quality, equitable and inclusive education and learning opportunities for all (Goal 4), Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls (Goal 5), Promote the durable, inclusive and sustainable education economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all (Goal 8), Reduce inequalities within and between nations (Goal 10), Promote more peaceful and inclusive sustainable development; offer access to justice for all and create effective, accountable and inclusive bodies at all levels (Goal 16).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the organization of this congress, the \"Orientation within life\" group, created in the Order of Psychologists of the Sicilian Region, in collaboration with the Kore University of Enna, intends to contribute to the dissemination of research and good practices in relation to to the challenges and topics presented below, providing the opportunity for researchers, teachers, professionals and organizations that work in the sector to make their contribution available to the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
