Orient@cual: a virtual orientation platform for the development of professional projects in vocational training.

Proyecto EDU2010-19272 Ministerio de Innovación y Ciencia.

IP: Soledad Romero Rodríguez.

The purpose of this research was to carry out a diagnosis of the orientation needs of Vocational Training students in the educational system, in order to later design a virtual orientation program and platform geared towards them. Five universities participated in the project: University of Huelva, University of Jaén, Pablo de Olavide University, University of the Basque Country and University of Seville. For the diagnosis, two questionnaires were designed, addressed to students, teachers, and guidance professionals. Likewise, other creative procedures (such as photolanguage), discussion groups, and case studies were used. 4125 students and 380 teachers and guidance professionals participated in the study. Based on the results obtained, an orientation program and a virtual platform were designed, which were subjected to a design evaluation process in which 5 Vocational Training centers participated.
