On February 1st the doctoral seminar Investigating Fandom and Multimodality to Learn Languageswill take place, taught by Daniel Cassany from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in classroom 2.8. of the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Seville.
The seminar will review some of the recent research coordinated by the speaker (GRAEL, Universitat Pompeu Fabra) on language learning in informal contexts (watching series, listening to music, playing video games, etc; Defandom, informative Defandom, ICUDEL) and on the use of video as a learning format (ForVid). From articles already published, the fields of interest, the research questions, the qualitative methods used, the theoretical approach and the underlying conception of teaching-learning will be reviewed, in addition to the results obtained.
